The story of classic Sartoria Colombini suits is not only about the quality of hand tailoring. It is a story of many years of experience passed down to me by my grandmother Jole and by Franca.
Since 1921, my grandmother created bespoke suits for the Italian elite — true connoisseurs of beauty and tailoring excellence. She carefully selected threads for internal seams and decorative finishing, waxing them to add durability to each garment. Every suit was unique, created exclusively by hand, reflecting the individuality and character of the client.
From early childhood, I grew up in the atmosphere of a family craft built on values. Later, Franca continued the Colombini legacy and devoted her entire life to it until retirement. From the age of six, I was inspired by the atmosphere of Italian style, my grandmother Jole’s love for her craft, and my mother Franca’s professionalism. They always taught me to value intelligence, elegance, and naturalness in a person, and the highest quality of hand tailoring in clothing. Each suit carried an author’s tailoring technique and individual style. This is how the tailoring values and the history of exclusive Bespoke suit creation were born within Sartoria Colombini.
My conscious involvement in the family business began when I realized that we were not simply creating suits, but passing on family values and traditions deeply rooted in Italian families to our clients. A Colombini Bespoke suit reflects the beauty of the soul and the uniqueness of the client’s character. Today, I am developing Sartoria Colombini™. Having inherited the legacy and experience of the Colombini family in men’s tailoring, I made my own contribution by founding the Women’s Line of Sartoria Colombini — dedicated to bespoke business suits.
This direction emerged from my personal experience. I encountered a lack of specialized tailoring for classic women’s business suits on the market. Frequent business trips required me to spend significant time selecting a wardrobe, and for a long time I nurtured the idea of creating clothing that is presentable, elegant, and at the same time comfortable.
Creating my own Bespoke suits using the highest-quality fabrics from Loro Piana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Scabal, and Caccioppoli became the very solution that we now offer to all business-oriented, ambitious, and self-sufficient women — those for whom naturalness, harmony, individuality, and elegance are a way of life, and self-development is a necessity.
Today, Sartoria Colombini™ offers Bespoke tailoring services for men’s and women’s suits, jackets, trousers, coats, and shirts. Production is located in the heart of tailoring craftsmanship — in Naples. Each garment is created exclusively by hand using authentic Neapolitan cutting and tailoring techniques. Our Private Bespoke Service allows us to meet clients at a time and place convenient for them, removing borders and shortening distances between tailor and valued client for collaborative work on a unique Bespoke suit.
